For instance, during employee onboarding, the system now provides a customised welcome package that includes the company's logo, a letter from the company, and a work computer.

The company’s backend is automatically updated to reflect the assigned devices, enabling full customisation of the entire process to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees.

A comprehensive blueprint with a bespoke integration

The workshop culminated in a comprehensive blueprint centred on a bespoke ServiceNow integration. Egiss tailored the ServiceNow platform to meet the client’s specific requirements, ensuring seamless integration of all aspects of IT lifecycle management – from procurement and buffer stock to asset disposition.

This bespoke ServiceNow integration transformed the client’s IT asset management, delivering complete visibility and control over hardware while considerably reducing the number of missing devices.

Previously, the company struggled to account for more than 6,000 devices. With the new system in place, they now maintain full visibility across all locations, substantially reducing the risk of unaccounted-for hardware.

In addition to asset recovery, Egiss’s solution resulted in significant financial savings. By delivering complete control over IT assets, our bespoke ServiceNow integration helped reduce losses, resulting in more than €10 million in annual savings.

Enhanced productivity and strategic benefits

Beyond cost savings, the streamlined IT service management system has significantly improved both employee productivity and the overall user experience. A custom chatbot was introduced to automate pivotal processes, reducing downtime due to hardware issues and enabling employees to remain focused on their core tasks. 

If employees encounter any hardware issues, the custom chatbot automatically manages the repair process and facilitates device replacement as required.

Ultimately, Egiss supported the client in transforming their entire IT lifecycle across all global markets. This transformation delivered not only operational improvements but also strategic benefits – boosting productivity, reducing costs, and empowering the client to manage its global IT infrastructure more effectively.
