The 0-Mission
An effort makes the biggest leap.
Accelerating the green transition with The 0-Mission.
At Egiss, we proudly collaborate with The 0-Mission to elevate sustainable energy solutions, covering 50% of our electricity consumption in Denmark.
Egiss subscribes to a solar park in Vandel, near Vejle in Jutland, Denmark, dedicated to renewable energy. This park and two adjacent solar parks are built on a former airbase, ensuring minimal disruption. The solar park we subscribe to compromises over 600 kilometres of solar panels and is built with meticulous care for biodiversity and groundwater reserves.
Through our partnership with The 0-Mission, Egiss is committed to accelerating the green transition by financing solar power through user contributions. As the world strives to decarbonise global energy systems, Egiss is taking responsibility by supporting the development of more solar parks.
The solar park meets the UN Global Compact standards, ensuring fair labour practices.

Making room for biodiversity
Between the solar panels, there are habitats for bees, insects, and flowers. The park's groundwater resources are protected due to the zero use of pesticides or fertilisers. The solar park is managed with the primary purpose of optimising and maintaining biodiversity.

Every contribution makes an impact.
At Egiss, we know we can't save the world. Yet we have a responsibility and obligation to make an effort when possible. Partnering with The 0-Mission and their solution enables us to foster initiatives that drive a significant leap:
251 tons of CO2e avoided.
Throughout our subscription to the solar park, we have played a crucial role in preventing the release of approximately 251 tons of CO2e. This reduction is equivalent to the emissions produced by 1145 round-trip flights between Copenhagen and Paris.1

Ensuring more green electricity.
Over the course of a year, Egiss ensures that as much green electricity is added to the power grid as the company consumes in Denmark.
Fresh drinking water for many years to come.
By avoiding pesticides and fertilisers, we foster a thriving habitat for bees and flowers while protecting the underlying groundwater reserve from contamination, ensuring the potential for future fresh drinking water.
At Egiss, we cannot choose the electricity source from our outlets. However, we can ensure that we contribute as much solar energy to the grid as we consume. Therefore, Egiss subscribes to renewable energy through The 0-Mission.Belinda Fjord, Belinda Fjord, Director, Head of ESG & Global Partnerships Connect with Belinda on LinkedIn
